Privacy notice

Who we are

ClearBridge Revenue Integrity Partners ("ClearBridge," "we") runs cbrip.com and ClearBridge Academy from Denver, Colorado. The Academy is offered to professionals in the United States, and we store your information in the United States.

What we collect and why

• Your email, when you unlock a free track. We record the address, the track and the date, and a cookie remembers the unlock in that browser.
• Your name and email, when you create an account. We use them to sign you in and send account email. We store your password only as a one-way hash. The name on your account is printed on every certificate you earn.
• Your learning record. Course progress, where you stopped, quiz scores and answers, minutes spent learning each day, and the certificates we issue you.
• Purchases. Stripe collects your card details on its own checkout page, so we never see or store your card number. We give Stripe your email and keep Stripe's customer, subscription and payment references to grant and manage your access.
• Feedback you send. Your rating and note, the spot in the course it refers to, and your account if you are signed in. To limit spam we keep a keyed hash of your IP address, never the address itself.
• Marketing email sign-ups. If you opt in, we record your email, where and when you opted in, the exact wording you agreed to, your country, and a keyed hash of your IP address.
• Certificate checks. When someone confirms a certificate on our verify page, we keep their IP address for 15 minutes to stop automated guessing, then delete it.
• How you use the site. See Analytics below.

Anyone you give a certificate ID to can confirm that certificate on our verify page by entering your last name.

Marketing email

Unlocking a free track or creating an account does not sign you up for marketing email. You get it only if you tick the unchecked box on the form and then click the confirmation link we email you. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we stop promptly when you use it.

Account email is separate. While you have an account we send sign-in links, address confirmations, receipts and certificates, because the service needs them.

Analytics

Our own visit counter

Each page you load sends us its address, the site that linked you to it, and any campaign tags in the link. Course pages also report when you start, progress through and finish a course. This counter sets no cookie and does not store your IP address. It turns your IP address and browser type into a keyed code that changes every day, so we can count visitors without recognizing you from one day to the next. A location database on our own server turns your IP address into an approximate country, state and city, and we store those instead of the address. We delete these records after 400 days and keep only daily totals.

Google Analytics

Our pages also run Google Analytics 4. Google sets its own cookies and collects details of your visit, such as the pages you view, your device and your approximate location, and processes them under its own terms. Google explains this in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can stop it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies.

Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser also connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.

Cookies

These are the cookies cbrip.com uses.

The course player also saves your volume and caption settings in your browser's local storage, and if you are not signed in, the days you spent learning. That data stays on your device.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with companies that run part of the service for us, and only for that work.

• Amazon Web Services. Hosting, our database, file storage and email delivery (Amazon SES), in AWS's US West (Oregon) region.
• Stripe. Payments.
• Google. Google Analytics and Google Fonts.

We also disclose information when the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

Do Not Track

The site collects the same information whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. Through Google Analytics, Google can collect information about your activity over time and across other websites that use its services.

See, change or delete your information

When signed in, you can change your name and email on your Profile page. For anything else, such as a copy of your information, a correction, deleting your account, or removing an email you used to unlock a track, write to hello@cbrip.com.

How long we keep it

We keep account, learning and purchase records while your account is open, and email addresses from unlocked tracks until you ask us to remove them. We delete them when you ask. Deleted records can remain in our database backups for up to 7 days.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

When we change this notice, we post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we also email account holders.
